- Room across the toes. A wide last, so nothing squeezes the front of the foot inward.
- Room above the joint. Knit gives where a leather panel would push back — right over the bend of the big toe.
- Laces you can leave loose. The knit holds the foot on its own, so the top eyelets don't have to.
